Punisher was played by Jon Bernthal in Daredevil and The Punisher, and while a recast seems unlikely given how the MCU brought Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio back to reprise their Daredevil roles, nothing has been said about the character appearing in a future MCU production yet. Knight, however, shows that there is a way to adapt Deadpool for the franchise. As if the Deadpool comics weren’t already so different from other superhero books, both Fox's Deadpool films have been R-rated for language and violence. One of the characters whose MCU debut is most anticipated, Deadpool is also one of the biggest challenges for the franchise.
